At 7:30 on Sunday, October 12, the Haidian Marathon 2025 will officially kick off at Zhongguancun No.1, with a maximum of 10,000 participants. The registration channel will officially open at 10:00 on August 8.

This year's Haidian Marathon adopts a registration model through which everyone must register first, draw a lot, and then finish payment. Participants can submit registration information between 10:00 on August 8 and 24:00 on August 26 via the official website, official WeChat account (海淀马拉松), or official mini-program (海淀马拉松) of the marathon, or any of the partner platforms — "Digital Heartbeat" (数字心动) or "Maramara" (马拉马拉) — without the need for prepayment.

This year's marathon adopts a waitlist mechanism, under which the registration system will assign waitlist numbers to the individuals not chosen during the lot-drawing stage, allowing them to enter the waitlist after paying their registration fees. Vacancies created by registered participants withdrawing from the marathon are filled sequentially according to the waitlist numbers.

In addition, 1,000 direct entry slots are offered. Participants who meet the basic registration requirements and the qualifying standards for full or half marathon for their age groups, as required by the Haidian Marathon this year, can be granted such slots following verification or lot-drawing if entries exceed available slots.

Two additional challenge races are scheduled specifically for this marathon, namely the University Challenge, which targets full-time undergraduate and graduate university students, and the Haidian High-Tech Enterprise Challenge, which is for the runners working for the enterprises recognized as "high-tech companies" and registered in Haidian District. Those registering for any of these races must meet all the competition regulations and will be qualified for participation through the same lot-drawing or waitlist process as other participants.
