On June 20, the Tianjinxi Railway Station Urban Terminal of the Beijing Daxing International Airport, the first intercity airport terminal in China, commenced its trial operation. During the ten days of trial operation until July 1, it had offered check-in and other related services for 1,126 passengers and checked 431 pieces of luggage.

The new terminal pioneers the provision of air services at a high-speed railway hub. Located on the north side of the waiting hall on the station's second floor, the terminal's six smart check-in counters enable passengers to, by scanning their identity cards, complete self-service check-in for domestic flights across 12 airlines including China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. Luggage cleared through the special security screening channel is transported in dedicated compartments via the Tianjin-Daxing Intercity Railway directly to the Daxing Airport for sorting and loading. This system delivers seamless rail-to-air connectivity.
