Step into a zoo, wander around, and encounter a variety of animals while immersing yourself in a world of nature and wildlife... The way of embracing life at a zoo has been playfully dubbed "Zoo Walk" by young people.

Located in Beijing's Xicheng District, Beijing Zoo offers a delightful visitor experience. The talented and adorable giant panda "Meng Lan" (nicknamed the "Third Prince of Xizhimen"), the playful small-clawed otter family and the educational experiences at the science popularization hall... every moment here leaves visitors with unforgettable and cherished memories.

The stores selling creative souvenirs in the zoo are also among the highlights. Currently, there are a flagship panda-themed gift store, a penguin-themed souvenir store, a pelican-themed store, and a panda-themed cafe, offering a wide range of products such as Beijing Zoo figurines, colorful panda sports-themed fridge magnets, and polar bear mugs. The products span categories like apparel, stationery, silk products, glassware, ceramics, and commemorative stamps, available both at the zoo’s brick-and-mortar stores and its official online store.

Additionally, the zoo features dining options like Bin Feng Tang Restaurant, Swan Lake Restaurant, Banlan Shangting, and Hupan Bistro, providing a convenient one-stop experience for food, drinks, shopping, and entertainment.

Notably, as a municipal 4A-level scenic area, the zoo upgraded its Bamboo Grove restroom in 2024, which many visitors stopped by. Enhancements include integrating the zoo's cultural elements into the exterior design, designing popular science content on windows, installing accessible facilities and nursing rooms inside, and introducing smart restroom systems. Beijing Zoo is committed to delivering a more comfortable, convenient experience for visitors of all ages.
