The Panda House in Beijing Zoo is a well-liked attraction that draws visitors worldwide each year. Currently, nine of the eleven giant pandas that have been raised are on exhibit. To consistently improve the well-being of giant pandas in captivity, Beijing Zoo has been optimizing environmental enrichment in its animal sports field and displays buildings annually since 2020. After five days of renovations, the giant pandas now have more deluxe sports and entertainment facilities.

According to reports, the primary purpose of the closure and renovation is to modify the sports ground's enrichment facilities. This includes rearranging, adding, and strengthening the perches in accordance with the animals' daily activities, as well as putting up slides, water hose woven beds, tires and tree branches groups, and interactive solid wood piles. Interactivity, comfort, and entertainment are given greater attention.
Enrichment facilities are "personally customized" based on the individual differences of animals and the actual conditions of the sports ground. Meng Lan's new home has new trampolines, space capsules, slides, and paddling pools.
