According to the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, 36 companies in Beijing have been included in the 2024 green manufacturing list of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. Among them, 31 companies including Bevone Electric, Dabao Cosmetics, Sanyuan Foods, and Renesas Semiconductor have been recognized as green factories. Five companies including Xiaomi Communications have been included in the list of green supply chain management companies.

So far, Beijing has recognized 161 national green factories and 30 green supply chain management enterprises. These green factories and enterprises are distributed in different industries, including 50 in the equipment industry, 38 in the urban industry, 32 in the automobile industry, 30 in the pharmaceutical industry, 22 in the materials industry, and 19 in the electronics industry. In terms of regions, the areas with more demonstration units are mainly the Economic-Technological Development Area (48), Shunyi District (26), Daxing District (21), Haidian District (19), Changping District (18), Tongzhou District (15), and Fangshan District (12). In addition, Beijing also recognized 80 municipal green factories and eight municipal green supply chain management enterprises last year.

Beijing has clarified the recognition and management mechanism and rules for green manufacturers from such aspects as green factory grading and evaluation, cultivation and recognition, dynamic management, and policy support, and established a gradient system for the cultivation and recognition of green manufacturers at the municipal and district-level. Meanwhile, under high-tech development funds, a green and low-carbon development fund has been specially set up to support enterprises in implementing projects for green transformation and upgrades and help them to keep improving their green manufacturing level. In addition, to facilitate the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, policies were also rolled out to support Beijing-headquartered enterprises in the Tianjin and Hebei regions to benchmark against national green factories.
