Zhongguancun Chaoyang Park is distinguished by its focus on international research and development (R&D), emphasizing high-end, precision, and sophisticated industries such as 5G, blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), medicine and healthcare, and technology services. With an aim to accelerate the growth of new business forms within the digital economy, the park has attracted enterprises in sectors like industrial internet, AI, and digital security to create a comprehensive industrial chain and ecosystem.

Recognized as a primary supporting area for the development of the "Two Zones" in Chaoyang District, Zhongguancun Chaoyang Park is also a core area of the digital economy demonstration zone. The park actively fulfills its role as a key supporting area by fostering the cluster growth of major digital economy industries across the region. Moreover, it aims to expand, optimize, and reinforce crucial industrial clusters related to industrial internet, AI, and digital security while nurturing emerging industries such as photonics and life and health.

Zhongguancun Chaoyang Park is a hub for high-end innovation resources, featuring 13 institutes from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 16 state key laboratories, and numerous national and municipal R&D platforms. It boasts 28 maker spaces and incubators, along with 74 academician and seven postdoctoral research stations. The park, with thriving high-end, precision, and sophisticated industries, has hosted a wide range of high-quality enterprises, including multinational headquarters, investment firms and listed companies, along with many unicorns and gazelle enterprises. It has over 2,000 high-tech enterprises and vital platforms such as the China Academy of Industrial Internet. In recognition of its strong innovation capabilities, the park has been designated as an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Base by the State Council. Moreover, it has become a prime destination for international venture capital, attracting renowned R&D institutions such as MSD and Alibaba DAMO Academy. The park, featuring a mature and comprehensive enterprise service system formulates specialized policies to support the digital economy and the development of the "Two Zones" and offers customized service packages for enterprises so as to promote their growth in all aspects.
