This year, China World Mall located in the heart of Beijing's Central Business District welcomed a new resident - Habib Bank Beijing Branch (HBL Beijing), marking the residence of the first foreign-funded financial institution in Chaoyang District and also the first foreign-funded bank from Belt and Road countries in Beijing since China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone was officially unveiled.

According to the head ofHBL Beijing, the bank will actively expand its business in China and further engage in the building of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. It will leverage its strengths in the strategic planning of its outlets along the Belt and Road, and provide a full range of supporting financial services for Chinese enterprises "going global" through the interconnection between domestic and foreign capital markets. HBL Beijing is the second branch of Habib Bank in China after establishment of the HBL Urumqi Branch. It will work to develop green finance and other featured services by making full use of the advantages of Chaoyang District as a place that enjoys the preferential policies of the "Two Zones", namely, the National Integrated Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
