On September 21, an inspection-application entity in Beijing successfully downloaded and printed the country's first electronic version of the Drug Import Customs Clearance, marking Beijing Port's lead nationwide in achieving fully online customs clearance for imported drugs.

The Drug Import Customs Clearance is the core legal document for declaring imported drugs to customs and obtaining their release. Previously, its issuance was not available in electronic form, and enterprises had to assign dedicated staff to collect it in person at the service window. Fully online processing will provide enterprises with more convenient customs clearance services for imported drugs.

The newly launched electronic version of the Drug Import Customs Clearance allows enterprises handling imported drug customs clearance and filing through Beijing Port to complete all formalities online without leaving their premises. After enterprises submit applications online and pass the review, the system automatically generates the Drug Import Customs Clearance affixed with an official electronic seal. Users can download the PDF file with one click and print it for use. The document comes with a QR code. Scanning it allows users to view the document number, drug name, real-time certificate status, and other information to verify the document's validity.
