In the first quarter of 2026, the added value of Beijing's digital economy grew by 9.3 percent. The Digital Economy has been a key engine driving the city's high-quality economic development.

In Q1, solid progress has been made in building Beijing into a global benchmark city for the digital economy. Zhipu AI has become the world's first listed company focusing on artificial general intelligence (AGI) base model. ByteDance launched a new-generation video generation model, ranking first in multiple internationally authoritative evaluations for multimodal video generation. The cumulative downloads of the Doubao app have exceeded 8.87 billion, maintaining its leading position nationwide. To date, a total of 225 large models in Beijing have been filed with the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, accounting for roughly 30 percent of the national total and continuing to top the country's rankings.

New breakthroughs have been achieved in the high-quality supply of computing power resources. In Q1, Beijing added 10 EFLOPS of new computing power, lifting the city's total computing power scale to 70 EFLOPS. During the same period, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei "Galaxy Computing Corridor" project mobilized over 900 EFLOPS of high-quality computing resources from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and western China. Forty existing data centers in the city have launched green and low-carbon upgrading and renovation programs.

Beijing officially released Beijing's Comprehensive Supporting Reforms for Facilitating Cross-Border Data Flows (Version 3.0) in the first quarter. The city also issued the Action Plan for Fully Deepening One-Stop Online Government Services and Promoting the Digital and Intelligent Development of Government Services (2026–2027) (北京市全面深化“一网通办”推进政务服务数智化发展行动计划(2026—2027年)). It will further optimize smart government service scenarios and comprehensively improve the capital's digital governance capacity, as well as service efficiency for enterprises and the public.
