The Beijing Airport-CBD Service Center was officially established on November 20. Jointly initiated by the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, the Beijing CBD Administrative Committee, and Capital Airports Holdings Co., Ltd., the center aims to create "direct channels" between the CBD and Beijing's two airports to address issues companies may encounter during air travel and customs clearance.
Beijing's airports serve as vital gateways for the opening-up of China. The flight network of the city's two airports connects over 120 destinations across 64 countries and regions, ranking first nationwide in for route coverage and second in flight volume.
As the capital's "International Reception Hall", the CBD is Beijing's most economically dynamic area. It is currently evolving into a demonstration zone for integrating international laws and business. The region will also eventually become an international financial cluster, a demonstration zone for integrating manufacturing and modern services, a 100-billion-yuan-level commercial district, and a zero-carbon CBD. In the Global Business Districts Attractiveness Report 2025, the Beijing CBD ranked sixth globally, second in Asia, and first in China. Housing tens of thousands of foreign companies, it is now home to nearly half of the regional headquarters of multinational corporations, 70 percent of the international financial institutions, 80 percent of the international organizations, and 90 percent of the international media outlets based in Beijing, underscoring its strong global appeal. It is also the largest catchment area for passengers using Beijing's exit-entry ports.
Through the Beijing Airport-CBD Service Center, businesses in the CBD can resolve travel and customs-related issues far more quickly, and also access tailored airport services based on their needs, thereby ensuring more convenience for the trips of corporate personnel. There will also be more efficient cargo clearance, helping companies further expand their global footprint.
