On November 14, The Global Business Districts Attractiveness Report was released. Beijing CBD's global ranking leapt to sixth place, rising one spot compared to five years ago, making it the most comprehensively competitive business district in China.
In the latest ranking of business districts, four Chinese business districts secured positions: Beijing CBD at 6th, Central Hong Kong at 13th, Shanghai Pudong-Lujiazui at 14th, and Guangzhou Tianhe CBD at 22nd. The report notes that China's urban clusters have delivered impressive performance, establishing business districts of global influence through distinctive positioning and a collaborative, complementary development approach.
The Report's benchmark evaluation system was comprised of eight categories, including talent, market proximity, influence, external conditions, office space, consumer vitality, innovation, and sustainability. In addition to the overall ranking, individual category rankings were also formulated. Beijing CBD ranks among the top in the dimensions of consumer vitality, talent, and innovation. In terms of consumer vitality specifically, it claims second place globally, having successfully established an integrated work-life-leisure ecosystem. The business district is not only home to numerous office buildings but also boasts a high concentration of cultural amenities, dining and retail outlets, commercial services, and public spaces, balancing both quality of life and workplace efficiency.
