According to the Beijing Customs District P. R. China, the total import and export volume of Beijing in the first four months of 2025 reached CNY 998.24 billion, accounting for 7.1 percent of the total figure of China. Specifically, the export volume amounted to CNY 200.56 billion, up 4.8 percent year on year, hitting a record high compared with the same periods in history.
In the first four months of this year, Beijing's foreign trade demonstrated five highlights: export surge, accelerated exports of private enterprises, increased total imports and exports with the Belt and Road partner countries, obvious driving effects of open platforms, and enhanced vitality of people's livelihood consumption.
