Qi Yanjun, male, Han ethnicity, was born in October 1964. He holds a doctorate degree in Engineering and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Qi is currently a member of the Supervisory and Judicial Affairs Committee of the 14th National People's Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Minister in charge of daily affairs (minister level) and Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and Vice Mayor of Beijing. Qi is also Party Secretary, Director General and Chief Inspector (concurrent) of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, and Deputy Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee (concurrent).
Responsibilities:
Qi is in charge of work related to public security and judiciary.
Qi oversees Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice.
Qi is in charge of liaison with Beijing National Security Bureau, Beijing Armed Police Corps and the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection.
