Mu Peng, male, Han ethnicity, was born in May 1966. He holds an EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration) degree and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Mu is currently a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary General of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director General of the General Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality.

Responsibilities:

Mu oversees the daily functions of the municipal government and the affairs of the General Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality.

Mu is responsible for coordination with the central and state departments.

Mu is in charge of liaison with the Secretary General of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, the Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress, the Secretary General of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Committee for Work Related to Offices Directly Under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Beijing Municipal Administration of Government Logistics, the Research Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and Beijing Municipal Administration of State Secrets Protection.
