The Liangma River stretches 9.3 kilometers, covering a 14.25-square-kilometer drainage area, and has played a central role in Chaoyang District's canal culture since the Ming Dynasty. Today, its waters flow by the embassy area, international hotels, and fashionable shopping streets, linking some of Beijing's most vibrant commercial hubs such as Sanlitun, Yansha, and Solana. The sun shines so bright on sunny winter days in Beijing. This time, we will join Lukas from Germany as we explore the river's banks, where locals enjoy their leisure time by fishing, jogging and walking.
