Xidan Business District is expecting many "firsts" and will attract large crowds to the district as the Chinese New Year arrives. Recently, following renovation, Xidan Sky Corridor also reopened with a lighting setup.

Over the past year, Joy City Xidan welcomed nearly 30 high-quality first stores, including first stores in northern China of some highly popular brands and copyrighted works, some concept stores, and some regional first stores, adding to its overall quality and appeal.

Hanguang Department Store has recently launched its lighting installation themed "Star Wish", lighting up the whole building facade. Moreover, there are star-shaped lanterns on the terrace of the second floor and koi-like lanterns on the west square on the first floor, perfect for taking photos and making wishes. Over the past year, Hanguang also opened more than 20 highly popular first stores. Two more have made their debuts here since the New Year, including one for new Chinese-style luxurious garments, and one tea-featured franchise whole-day light meal shop.

As demand rises rapidly for anime-related cultural products among younger consumers, a number of anime-themed first stores opened at Xidan's Huawei Building. In the new year, more such stores are expected to join, including a capsule toy store and a store of officially licensed merchandise by Chinese and international artists.
