The training camp for the half-marathon and the Robot "Baturu" Challenge officially opened on March 8, and the robot "runners" have already started their training.

The Robot "Baturu" Challenge is a new sub-event introduced for this year's half-marathon, aimed at promoting the application of robots in real-world work scenarios. The sub-event features 17 distinct challenges in four categories: general, humanoid, quadruped, and bonus challenges. These are designed to test robots' performance in emergency situations such as navigating through rubble and transporting supplies. A major highlight is the recreation of practical training environments, with outdoor obstacle courses set up on-site to simulate various outdoor environments, ensuring the competition aligns closely with real-world applications.

Since the registration and online training sessions began in January, nearly 40 participants have been selected for the offline practical training phase. These trainees will undergo 45 days of training, after which at least 10 of the best-performing teams will be recommended for the main competitions in April. Selected teams will receive comprehensive support from the E-Bot Hub, including free access to laboratories and robot units for training, one-on-one instruction from technical mentors, subsidies for competition materials, and access to industry resources and investment introductions.
