The 2025 Beijing Book Fair (Spring) will open from April 22 to May 5. It will feature a main exhibition venue at Chaoyang Park, its first sub-venue in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (BMC), and additional book markets in Shijingshan and Fengtai districts. The length of this year's fair will be extended to 14 days, spanning the Labor Day holiday.
Book coupons worth a total of CNY 2 million will be distributed through online and offline channels. Citizens can enjoy both on-site discounts and coupons for extra offers, with the use of multiple coupons at the same time allowed. To enhance visitors' experience, services such as mobile payment, express delivery, and comfortable rest areas will be available. In addition, shuttle buses will be provided between SOLANA and Chaoyang Park.
The main venue will comprise diverse exhibition areas including an exhibition and sales area for themed publications, a reading corner for children, and an area for physical bookstores, among others, which will bring together over 500,000 titles of new and high-quality books. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Culture and Tourism Integrated Exhibition Area will be unveiled for the first time to present outstanding publications and special cultural tourism products of the three regions. Cultural and tourism entities from cities like Taizhou of Zhejiang Province, Yinchuan of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Enshi of Hubei Province, and Xi'an of Shaanxi Province will bring their unique cultural products and books, to take visitors on a cultural trip across these regions.
The main venue will also feature the "Trendy Market", which will cover diverse business formats, such as animation and e-sports, creative cultural houseware, and outdoor sports. Among them, the newly-introduced animation and e-sports area will showcase merch of games and animated works. There will also be brand-new sections for different purposes, such as interaction with AI robots and promotion by online influencers. This year, the stamp-collecting activity will see further upgrades, attracting more readers to engage in the process by giving away book fair's maps and coupon packages.
The sub-venue in the BMC will feature eight themed areas. In addition to book exhibition and sales, the venue will launch "BMC's Recommended Routes for Cultural Tourism" in collaboration with other events like the Tongzhou Zhangjiawan Colorful Fashion Festival, the Taihu Jazz Festival, and the Grand Canal Transport-Launching Festival. Book markets in Shijingshan and Fengtai districts will open at Badachu Park and Nanyuan Forest and Wetland Park respectively, combining book exhibition and sales with outdoor leisure.
Moreover, the book fair will launch a 24/7 online promotion campaign and live-streaming sessions for selling books based on every day's highlights and key books, to enable readers to "visit exhibitions offline and read together online".
