On April 10, the inaugural event of Beijing Culture Forum Salon — "Dialogue: Protection and Inheritance of Cultural Heritage" — kicked off at the Temple of Heaven. The event unveiled the first 17 cultural venues in Beijing to host the upcoming salon activities.

These venues are primarily vacated spaces for cultural conservation, each showcasing distinct cultural characteristics. Hosts will select venues based on the nature and theme of activities such as academic exchanges and dialogue seminars. Outside of official programming, the venues will return to their daily functions, further promoting the active utilization of cultural and heritage spaces in Beijing's historic core.

Founded in 2022, Beijing Culture Forum is built around the permanent theme of "Inheritance, Creativity, Mutual Learning". It aims to serve as a key window into the essence of Chinese culture and a broad showcase for global cultural treasures. It is committed to building an international brand that leads the latest cultural trends and aggregates cultural innovation, and establishing a top-tier platform to promote cultural exchanges and deepen mutual learning among civilizations. This year, the forum launched the new initiative of "Beijing Culture Forum Salon." This initiative will regularly convene domestic and international experts, scholars, and prominent cultural figures for exchanges, discussions, and collaborative dialogues on topics such as cultural inheritance and development, creating an always-on Beijing Culture Forum.

The 17 Beijing Culture Forum Salon venues include:

Imperial Ancestral Temple, Temple of Heaven, Guanzhong Central Axis Cultural Museum, Cultural and Creative Area of Longfu Temple, Bell and Drum Towers, Pigment Guild Hall, Temple of Earth, Jingshan Civic Cultural Center (also named Meihousishi), Memorial Hall of Cao Xueqin's Former Residence, Qingcheng Palace at the Altar of the God of Agriculture, Huguang Guild Hall, Baoguo Temple, Haiqing Garden, Beijing Xuannan Culture Museum, October Literature Academy at Yousheng Temple, Zhengyici Theater, Former Residence of Shen Jiaben.
