The 2025 Beijing Daxing Half Marathon and the 9th "Flower Painting Beijing Yuepao Daxing" Half Marathon is scheduled to take place on May 11. Registration will open on April 11. Participants can follow the WeChat Official Account of the event, "The National Capital Weishanzhuang" (首善之地魏善庄), to be ready for registration. The event will involve 6,000 participants, including 4,500 people for the half marathon and 1,500 for the joy run.

The event will start and end at Weizhuang Village, Weishanzhuang Town, with a scheduled start time of 7:30 on May 11.

What's new at the 2025 Beijing Daxing Half Marathon? Firstly, Firstly, the ecological features of the racecourse have been fully upgraded. The event introduces a brand-new "ecological oxygen-rich route" along the entire course, where runners will be greeted by rose-covered walls, Benjes hedges, and Eurasian hoopoes. Secondly, participant services have been made more thoughtful. The organizing committee will provide finishers with a "sweet combo": a Daxing Shawo watermelon and a bouquet of fresh flower; AI-powered tools will offer real-time, full-process guides, while a customized smart navigation system, developed in partnership with Amap (Gaode Map), allows one-click navigation to key locations like the start/finish line, parking areas, and aid stations! In addition, this year's event will implement a wave-start system, improving traffic flow efficiency by 30 percent during the early stages of the race.

During the marathon period, Daxing District will also host a series of vibrant events as part of the ongoing "Meet Weishanzhuang" Leisure Culture Festival. Highlights include the district’s first Agricultural-Cultural-Tourism Resource Expo, where curated tourism routes will be unveiled. Capitalizing on the May Day holiday and weekends and peak rose-blooming season, Daxing will organize a range of music festivals, sports and leisure activities, as well as extended marathon bazaars, creating new scenarios for cultural tourism consumption.
