Guangyang Academy boasts a wide range of functions, including raising the public's environmental awareness, facilitating exchanges among horticultural practitioners, staging cultural and art exhibitions, activities focusing on reading, children's education and fitness, tea and coffee services, and quick meals. Guangyanggu Forest Restaurant, the Nature Education Center, and Sunshine Book Club are all open to the public.

The restaurant includes a café and quick-bite area as well as a business dining section. The menu also includes nutritional options for children. It is directly connected to the cultural space on the first floor of Guangyang Academy and opens daily from 9:30 to 21:30.

Currently, the exhibition "A Sensory Journey through the Garden City" is staged on the first floor of the Academy, featuring paintings, sculptures, and interactive installations, and will run until December 28.
The Nature Education Center organizes weekend activities in the 30,000-square-meter forest park and architectural space, focusing on birdwatching, insect observation, plant exploration, astronomy, and soil ecology, among others, to foster environmental and citizenship awareness among participants.
Drawing on Guangyang Academy's extensive collection, Sunshine Book Club hosts regular events, including AI science workshops, positive-psychology seminars, lectures on traditional Chinese culture, and world literature appreciation, as well as engaging parent-child activities.
The Children's Growth Center consists of an outdoor basketball court and indoor spaces including a children's play area, a climbing wall, and a ballet studio. It hosts a variety of parent-child activities, workshops, and tea gatherings that combine education with entertainment.
