The 9th Beijing October Literature Festival will kick off on September 7. As one of the supporting activities of Beijing Culture Forum 2024, this festival will be held across the Beijing-Tianjin- Hebei region. For the first time, a sub-venue will be set up in Shanghai, and a total of more than 60 sub-events will be held online and offline.

The "International Exchange" section of this festival will be more diversified than before. Sub-events including signings of copyright-relevant contracts, dialogues with authors, lectures, sharing sessions for foreign students, and hands-on experiences of Chinese culture and the charm of Beijing will continue to promote exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations with literature as the medium. The award ceremony for the 2024 "I Love Beijing", a campaign calling for the submissions of articles from teenagers around the world, will invite 10 Chinese and foreign prize-winning authors to come to Beijing as envoys of cultural exchange and mutual learning. A reading-sharing session for foreign students will also be held, allowing them to talk about the world they have seen in Chinese literature.
