The 2026 Beijing Art Season (hereinafter referred to as the "Season") will run from May 21 to June 15. This year's event aims to bring together artistic and cultural resources from around the world, creating an open and inclusive platform for dialogue.

With the Gallery Weekend Beijing and the Beijing Dangdai Art Fair as its two core sub-events, the Season will collaborate with art zones, museums, and professional galleries across the city. It will also bring together hundreds of art institutions from nearly 20 countries and host over 400 featured sub-events.

For the first time, the Season will establish a framework that links the primary gallery market with the secondary auction market. It will facilitate the loop from the value creation to the market circulation of artworks, thereby further strengthening the interconnected development of the art market. This is expected to generate an industry value of hundreds of millions of yuan and attract over 5 million visits.

In addition, the Season will collaborate with museums across Beijing and more than 500 partner businesses, integrating special exhibitions, public education, study tours, and other diverse content. An NFC-enabled ticket stub will help unlock consumption offerings, alongside ticket subsidies worth millions of yuan.

As 2026 marks the China-Brazil Year of Culture, the Season will take this opportunity to present Brazilian cultural exhibitions and host relevant exchange activities. Meanwhile, in collaboration with UNESCO, it will launch a special exhibition on children's paintings. International institutions such as the Instituto Cervantes, the Danish Cultural Center, the Korean Cultural Center, and the Goethe-Institut will also bring a rich array of international cultural offerings and exchanges.
