From September 25 to 29, the 2025 Beijing Animation Festival will be held at the Beijing Exhibition Center.

This year's festival features a carefully designed "1+5" forum program. The main forum, themed "Next Frame, Chinese Animation! (下一帧,中国动画!)", will explore the strategic development, technological transformation, and cultural expression of China's animation industry. The five parallel sub-forums will each focus on specific areas: animation art and production, intelligent animation technology, the broader animation ecosystem, animation directing, and animation screenwriting and planning.

The themed immersive experience section will bring together leading companies such as Tencent, Shanghai Animation Film Studio, NetEase, and Alpha Group, featuring immersive experience zones for popular IPs like "Honor of Kings", "Dragon Raja", "The Outcast", "The Degenerate-Drawing Jianghu", and "Chinese Paladin: Sword and Fairy", offering a comprehensive experience of the animation charm that transcends eras. The event will also feature parade performances, meet-and-greets with creators, and other activities.

There will be three core sections: competitions, industry, and consumption. These will serve as the driving forces behind the Animation Festival. On the competition side, an IP image design contest, a 48-hour AIGC Original Animation Challenge, and e-sports tournaments will be launched. The industry section features events such as the Animation Investment and Financing Conference, IP Trading 1V1 Negotiations, and a series of master classes. For consumer experience, the main venue has carefully organized a themed day carnival, Mini comic convention, themed market, and other activities, integrating signings, concerts, and trendy toys to provide audiences with the unique charm of Beijing Animation Festival.

For the first time, the festival will launch the Beijing Animation Festival PASS Card, a digital cultural-creative product that connects cultural, commercial, tourism, and sports venues across the city, reshaping the "ticket stub economy" into a new digital model. Consumers can use this card to activate mobile AI companions, check-in and exchange rewards, and receive exclusive benefits from the "Beijing Animation Festival Citywide Merchant Alliance" (北京动画周全城商家联盟), which covers lifestyle consumption scenarios such as dining, travel, shopping, and entertainment.
