Shuangqing Villa is a traditional courtyard-style residence covering an area of 7,000 square meters. With a serene and quiet environment, it is renowned for its lush bamboo groves, towering ginkgo trees, tall and straight pines and cypresses, and its simple, classical architecture. The villa once served as the residence of Mao Zedong and functioned as a command center of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee. It was here that momentous decisions were made that shaped the course and future of China. In 1993, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Mao Zedong's birth, Xiangshan Park restored scenes of his work and daily life at Shuangqing Villa and opened a new hall for the exhibition "Mao Zedong's Activities at Shuangqing" (毛泽东在双清活动).
