Centered on printing technologies, this museum displays a variety of typical printed works, printing equipment and relevant raw materials from ancient to contemporary times. It showcases the important role of printing technologies in cultural development, social progress, the spread of scientific knowledge, production growth, the improvement of people's livelihoods, and international cultural exchanges. With an area of 4,600 square meters for its exhibitions, the museum is the largest of its kind in the global printing industry.
It is divided into four exhibition zones, namely the zone of the origins of printing, the zone of the modern and contemporary printing technologies, the zone of relevant digital technologies, and the underground zone of printing machines. In addition, there are several exhibitions dedicated to banknote and security printing, stamp printing, printing in Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and the Taiwan region, as well as quality printed works.
