Museum of Ethnic Costumes at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology

As China's first professional museum of costumes, it houses more than 10,000 costumes, ornaments and textiles of all ethnic groups in China, as well as nearly 1,000 precious archival photographs of the daily lives of the Yi, Tibetan and Qiang ethnic groups dating back to the 1930s.

With a current exhibition area of 2,000 square meters, the museum has seven exhibition halls including the Ethnic Minority Costume Hall (少数民族服饰厅), the Miao Ethnic Group's Costume Hall (苗族服饰厅) and the Han Ethnic Group's Costume Hall (汉族服饰厅), as well as the Technique Learning Center for Traditional Costumes of Ethnic Groups in China (中国民族传统服饰工艺传习馆).
