The museum is China's first puppetry-themed museum that was independently funded and designed. It houses more than 500 exquisite puppets and stages annually over 1,200 performances. At present, the museum has been recognized as one of the first "Performing Arts New Spaces" in both Beijing and Chaoyang District.
