The memorial hall dedicated to a renowned Chinese astronomer is situated in the Huitong Temple (汇通祠) complex on the north bank of the West Sea (a lake) of Shichahai. Covering an area of nearly 800 square meters, including a floor area of 400 square meters, it has four exhibition areas themed respectively "Life Events", "Jishuitan in the Yuan Dynasty", "Water Control of Dadu", and "Calendar-making through Observation of Sky", which mainly introducing Guo Shoujing's life and the efforts he made for his scientific research.
