Svetlana is a pianist and a piano teacher. She encountered Beijing in 2002.

Svetlana's life took an unfortunate turn when her mother passed away. At that time, Svetlana decided to leave Russia and started a new life in Beijing.

Svetlana has been living in Beijing for more than ten years, learning how to cook Chinese food, and making many close friendships. "I enjoy my life in Beijing, so I don't want to leave," said Svetlana.
