Xicheng District Launches Travel Experience Event to Explore Intangible Cultural Heritage in Western Area of Central Axis

On July 1, Xicheng District in Beijing introduced a travel experience event themed "Unveiling the Timeless Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Western Area of the Central Axis in Beijing". The event encompasses four distinct themed routes, namely the "Rhythmic Essence in the Western Area of the Central Axis", "Exquisite Craftsmanship in the Western Area of the Central Axis", "Inheritance of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Western Area of the Central Axis", and "Flavors in the Western Area of the Central Axis".

Route 1 - Rhythmic Essence in the Western Area of the Central Axis: Uninterrupted Inheritance of Beijing Opera

If you are interested in traditional opera of China, you can immerse yourself in the rhythms of a drum performance at Lao She Teahouse and the exquisite artistry of Kunqu Opera at Zhengyici Theater. Don't forget to satiate your taste buds with authentic Beijing-style pickles at Liubiju. Traditional Chinese clothes of Refosian and cloth shoes with multi-layer soles from Neiliansheng are also worth a try.
