Recently, the Shijingshan District Young Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Conference was held. In the meantime, the Shijingshan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Young Talent (Phase I) was inaugurated. The event unveiled new service measures to support innovation and entrepreneurship of young generations, with an early-stage venture capital fund targeting small enterprises and hard technologies announced. In addition, the first batch of internship bases was also inaugurated. On the same day, the base welcomed its first cohort of young talented individuals and teams following the signing of agreements.

Located in Gucheng Venture Building, the Phase I part can accommodate 100 youth innovation and entrepreneurship teams. It is aimed at addressing common challenges faced by young entrepreneurs, such as startup funding shortages, high office costs, and difficulties in resource access. Comprehensive support will be provided in terms of office space, technology sharing, housing security, and more. Shijingshan offers over 3,000 houses for rent at different levels, including Wanshang Youth Apartments (万商青年公寓), Jinyuanzhuang Apartments (晋元庄), and Tairan Apartments (泰然公寓). Other measures include the distribution of housing subsidies for young talented individuals, the development of Shougang International Talent Community (首钢国际人才社区), and the provision of the one-stop services concerning work permits and residence permits for eligible foreigners. Support in 12 categories (e.g. healthcare, housing, children's education) for high-level talented individuals is also in place. These efforts have led to the establishment of a rapid-response mechanism for "small but urgent" needs of talented individuals. 

During the conference, 12 measures to bolster youth innovation and entrepreneurship were released to directly address the pressing needs in terms of workspace, funding, quality of life, etc. Through these measures, Shijingshan is striving to build a robust innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem with spatial support, financial backing, and service guarantees for young talented minds.
