The number of medical institutions in Beijing that have enabled mobile payment for medical insurance has increased from 110 to 151. Residents covered by Beijing's basic medical insurance can use this feature through Alipay or "Jing Tong" mini-program, allowing real-time online settlement of reimbursable medical expenses. The number of pharmacies that support online medicine purchases with medical insurance personal accounts has increased to over 400.
When purchasing medicines online, individuals need to first log in to the two platforms of Meituan.com and JD.com, select medicines marked with the blue sign showing "Medical Insurance" (医保), and then choose "Payment via Personal Medical Insurance Account of Beijing" (北京医保个人账户支付) after submitting the order.
The medicine cost will be covered by the personal medical insurance account, while the delivery and packaging fees will still be borne by the consumers. After an online order is placed, the medicine purchase platform will arrange the delivery immediately. Online medicine purchase also supports mutual-aid use of personal medical insurance accounts among the registered family members in Beijing.
Next, Beijing will continue to promote medical insurance payments for online medicine purchases, and increase the number of designated retail pharmacies supporting online payments.
