Recently, the Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area in Beijing launched a free trial activity, allowing tourists to claim their "Great Wall Smart Companion Card" at the "Gifts from the Great Wall Shop" in its Guancheng Square.

The card is centered around the copyrighted character "Mingxiaobing" (明小兵, which literally means the "soldier of the Ming Dynasty"), integrating AI, AR, NFC and other smart technologies to create a brand-new touring experience for visitors. Specifically, the card can provide audio information on historical and cultural facts, personalized route planning service, and details of interesting and interactive activities. Visitors only need to use their smartphones to unlock the intelligent guided service, and then immerse themselves in the historical stories and cultural heritage of the Great Wall.

The card offers three featured touring routes: the Southern Hiking Route (South Tower No. 1 to South Tower No. 4) is ideal for those seeking self-challenge; the Northern Scenic Route (North Tower No. 1 to North Tower No. 4) provides a panoramic view of mountain landscapes there; and the Cable Car Exploration Route (North Tower No. 7 to North Tower No. 10) offers a leisurely touring option, catering to the diverse needs of different visitors.

In terms of its interactive experiences, the companion card offers diverse check-in activities: Upon completing the exploration of a route, visitors will receive an exclusive digital souvenir card. Notably, the card also supports functions like AR-based smart generation of photo scenes and AI chat service.
