Evening breezes, moonlight, chirping cicadas… Summer nights in Beijing are full of magic. From bustling food streets to lively night markets and outdoor festivals, there's plenty to explore after sunset. Here's where to go this summer!


Guijie Night Carnival

The 2026 Beijing Guijie Night Carnival and "Have a Cray-zy Summer" Crayfish Festival (北京簋街不夜节暨“快乐一xia”小龙虾生活节) are now underway. Renowned restaurants such as Hu Da Restaurant (胡大饭馆) and Hua's Restaurant (花家怡园) are serving up crayfish in 10 classic flavors, including Sichuan spice, garlic, braised, and the famous thirteen-spice seasoning.

Trendy brands are also joining the fun with creative cultural products, craft beer, camping gear and other modern elements, turning this century-old food street into one of Beijing's most popular gathering spots for this season.


Summer Session of 2026 Longfu Temple Trend Market

Scheduled to run from June 18 to October 18, this event turns Longfu Temple into a lively destination for summer nights, featuring visual delights, food, activities, photo-snapping chances, and live performances. Come here to soothe your mind!

The market features designated zones for shopping stalls, vendor trucks, souvenir stands, cooking stations, and cold dessert booths, as well as a performance stage, a cozy beer garden, a pet and flower corner, and an outdoor screening zone. Visitors can sample a full spectrum of northern and southern flavors in one place, including time-honored Beijing snacks, regional specialties, modern tea beverages, craft beer varieties, and refreshing desserts. You'll also find plenty of traditional handicrafts, China-chic toys, and other creative gifts featuring folk elements to take home.

From now until July 8, visitors can check out a limited-time pop-up store with the theme "Search for Chouchou in Beijing" (寻找周同学・北京站) and a giant sculpture of the cartoon character Chouchou, based on the famed C-Pop artist Jay Chou.


Night Market at Xinzhuang Village

As evening falls, stalls at this market are lit up one after another. Savor heartwarming, delicate treats, steaming street snacks, and refreshing summer drinks—everything offers you bliss exclusive to summer nights. You can browse through unique cultural goods, handmade jewelry, fancy ornaments, and artistic merchandise that will let you take home your very own touch of summer romance. The market is open 17:00-21:00 on weekends from June 6 to July 31.


Shiyuan Summer Festival

Looking for a refreshing summer escape? The "Cool Summer in Yanqing: Shiyuan Summer Festival" (延庆夏都避暑季·世园嬉夏YEAH) is the place to be! The event runs from June 20 to August 31 in the Beijing Shi Yuan International Tourism Resort. Better yet, admission is free after 17:00 daily.

The resort is divided into four themed zones during the festival. 

The Summer Fun Gathering Zone (嬉夏聚场), stretching from Gate No. 2 of the resort to the International Pavilion, features stage performances, food bazaars, parent-child activities, and trendy photo spots.

The Horticulture Town (园艺小镇) at Shiyuan Pusen Hotel offers a romantic getaway with daily intangible cultural heritage workshops and weekend lawn concerts and open-air movie screenings. Plus, it's pet-friendly!

The Wind Chasing Sports Zone (追风球场), spanning from Gate No. 1 to the football pitch, centers on outdoor activities. Bonfire parties, music performances, and fun sports games on weekends are the highlights.

The Wetlands Camp by Gate No. 5 brings natural spectacles and leisure together with concerts, barbecue and fishing competitions on weekends, enriching the camping experiences here.
