Looking for something new in Shijingshan this spring? Think about the following destinations which perfectly embody the modern poetic allure of "Half City, Half Landscape".
Slow Riverside Moments at the Yongding River Market

Nestled at the foot of Shijing Mountain and on the left bank of the Yongding River, the Trendy Joy Waterfront (潮玩悦享水岸) project is the most sought-after leisure spot this spring. It ingeniously combines the industrial heritage of Shougang Park and the natural landscape of the river.
A total of 11 exquisitely designed creative boutiques are scattered across the undulating lawn, including SAANCI Café (山池咖啡), Super Plants (超级植物) and Camplus Space (一帐之地). All of them are first stores in Shijingshan District, and about half are even firsts in Beijing. Here, you can fly a kite, go camping, stroll with your dog, or simply sit on a wooden chair by the river, to enjoy the slow-paced life with unique idleness and comfort.
Cultural Vibes of "Top Fairy Mountain of Beijing" at the Shijingshan Academy

For a more immersive cultural journey in spring, the Shijingshan Academy is a must-visit. Officially opened in the autumn of 2025, this public cultural venue stands atop Shijing Mountain, which is hailed as the "Top Fairy Mountain of Beijing". The venue was recently selected among Beijing's New Internet-Famous Sites for 2025.
Comprising three parts: Nanshan Courtyard, the Ancient Building Complex and Gongbei Pavilion, it serves as a venue for cultural experience, research-based education, thematic exhibitions and art gatherings. You can attend a cultural salon at the Traditional Chinese Studies Lecture Hall (国学讲堂) in Nanshan Courtyard, experience traditional handicraft-making in the interactive zone for intangible cultural heritage, or hike up the mountain trails to visit the Ancient Building Complex, finally reaching the summit of Gongbei Pavilion, where you can have a magnificent, panoramic view of Shougang Park and the Yongding River. Here, visitors are filled with delight and ease amid the aura of spring and historic culture.
