BEIJING, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- The music drama film, "The Beautiful Blue Danube," produced by the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), will be screened at the center on Aug. 30.
Based on a true story, the film shows how John Strauss, a celebrated composer and conductor, delivered a successful show in the World Peace Celebration Concert in Boston in 1872 which catapulted him to international fame.
The audiences will enjoy classics by Strauss such as "G'schichten Aus Dem Wienerwald," "An Der Schone Blauen Donau" and "Fruhlingsstimmen."
The drama made its debut in 2012 and is performed by the NCPA orchestra and chorus.
