The 28th Beijing Pinggu International Peach Blossom Festival will officially open on April 10 and will run until May 5. During the festival, Pinggu District will create an immersive, enjoyable cultural experience centered on peach blossoms for every tourist.

Eight new policies will be adopted for the public this year. One example is for those born in the Years of the Horse, which allows them to visit all attractions in Pinggu for free with valid ID documents. Pingdong Market (苹东市集) will also offer 10,000 free glasses of craft beer and 10,000 servings of local snacks for free. Free parking will be available in designated areas of eight major zones during the event, and exclusive convenient shuttle buses will also be put into operation, with plenty more for you to enjoy.
A diverse variety of cultural experiences await, such as the "Poetry Masters in Peach Garden" (桃园诗仙汇) poetry recital and the "Battle of the Flower Sea" (决战花海) esports competition, aimed at offering tourists fun from day to night. During the day, tourists will be able to wander through a blooming expanse of peach blossoms, and after dusk, themed light installations will be turned on, with special activities including the starry sky-themed camping activities, electronic music parties, and tipsy jazz concerts.
To cater to different tourists' preferences, three premium tourist routes have also been developed for this year's festival.
1. Western Route: Peach Blossoms in Springtime Valley
This route focuses on natural flowers and folk culture experiences. Starting from the sea of peach blossoms to Zhenluoying (镇罗营) to the north, it connects three core areas: the Peach Blossom Sea (桃花海), Yaji Mountain (丫髻山), and the Lakeside Farming and Reading Garden (湖畔耕读园).
2. Central Route: Pastoral Leisure
The route is suitable for family trips. Starting from Toya Land (桃源里欢乐田园) to Shandong Village (山东庄) to the east, it links Toya Land, Pingdong Market, and Yuzishan Valley (与子山谷), featuring rich experience projects such as parent-child interactive games, the jungle adventure, and a pet park.
3.Eastern Route: Lakes, Mountains and Flowers
The route is designed for high-quality leisure and vacation experiences. Starting from Nanshanmei Village (南山美村) to Huangsongyu (黄松峪) to the northeast, it connects Jinhai Lake and Huangsongyu. Tourists can boat on Jinhai Lake, enjoy high-end yet affordable camping on Bibo Island (碧波岛), and ride on a mountain kart of Lishugou (梨树沟).
In addition, the map for this year's festival has recently been released, integrating cultural and tourism spots of various categories, including eight major themed zones, core scenic spots, accommodation venues, and food markets, with marked traffic routes, travel guides, and preferential information to help tourists plan their trips quickly.
During the festival, Pinggu will also hold events such as the 5th Tomato Tasting Season (第五届西红柿尝鲜季) in Donggaocun Town (东高村镇), the 12th Chinese Toon Culture Festival (第十二届香椿文化节) in Yukou Town (峪口镇), the Mafang Early Cherry Music Season (马坊早樱音乐季), and the Zhenluoying Lihuaguyu Leisure Season (镇罗营梨花谷雨休闲季), offering tourists with various opportunities to savor the springtime charm of the district.
