Students from University of Oxford and University of Cambridge Visit BUCEA

On December 16, a group of 9 students from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge came to Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) on a study tour. Representatives from the Student International Exchange Association of BUCEA, the Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers at BUCEA, and the Student Chapter of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing at BUCEA participated in the meeting.

Huang Xing, deputy director of the Department of External Affairs, delivered a welcome speech at the meeting. He expressed his hope to bring the students of BUCEA and world top academic institutions closer and his expectation that students from both countries could benefit from this activity.

Students from the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford gave brief introductions to their respective areas of study and research, cultural activities on campus, international exchange programs, and feelings towards their trip to China.

Representatives from Student International Exchange Association of BUCEA introduced the basic information about the university, main international activities and their campus life, and shared what they had learned from the activities. The BUCEA Student members of the Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Student Chapter of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing shared about BUCEA students' participation in international academic activities and engagement with international organizations.

After the meeting, the delegation from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge toured around the campus and showed great interest in the university's accomplishments in the digital protection of architectural heritage.
