On March 30, the 2025 Beijing International Youth Innovation and Development Forum was held as a parallel session of the 2025 ZGC Forum Annual Conference. The event extended an open invitation to talented minds from the globe to work together for a better future in Beijing.

The forum also unveiled the Service Package for Foreign Experts and Overseas Talents in Beijing-Based International Organizations. The package includes 14 novel measures across four key areas: exit-entry facilitation, international exchanges, talent attraction, and integration services. Once implemented, the service package will enable foreign experts invited to Beijing by international organizations to enjoy preferential policies concerning convenient customs clearance and exit-entry services. In addition, overseas talented individuals will have access to a range of integration services, including cultural exchange programs, medical subsidies, health management, learning and training programs, employment and entrepreneurship support, and daily life services, among others.

The 14th Beijing Tour for Overseas Talents was also launched during the forum. Regarding online efforts, over 6,000 international job opportunities from companies and institutions such as JD.com, Meituan, Xiaomi, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Bank of Beijing have been posted on the Contact Beijing – Global Network for Innovation Services (GNIS) website (www.gnis.org.cn), allowing overseas talent to directly connect with employers based on their professional interests at any time. For offline plans, there will be four matchmaking events focusing on key sectors including artificial intelligence, biomedicine and intelligent manufacturing. Talent from overseas can participate in these events by going through the following steps:

(1) self-registration;

(2) recommendation by organization;

 (3) merit-based selection;

(4) targeted invitation;

and (5) on-site engagement.
