In March 2024, Beijing launched the "Global Service Partner Program" to provide more high-quality, integrated services to enterprises and institutions in the service sector. To further enhance the global service capacity of "Beijing Service", CRI Online and the International Web Portal of Beijing jointly launched the "Global Service Partners Share Their Thoughts on Beijing", a short video series. Featuring Beijing's "Global Service Partners", the series presents the development journeys and success stories of foreign-funded enterprises in the capital, highlighting the strengths of "Beijing Service". It offers insights for more foreign enterprises looking to understand and invest in Beijing.
Novonesis was established in 2024 through the merger of two historic biotech multinationals, namely Novozymes and Chr. Hansen, headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. Novozymes was among the first foreign-funded companies to set up an R&D center in China in the 1990s.
Adhering to its development strategy ("In China, For China"), Novonesis located its China headquarters and R&D center in Beijing's Haidian District. The choice was made to further strengthen local innovation and serve the markets around the globe, including those in China and the rest of the Asia Pacific region. "Beijing is where Novonesis began its journey in China. The city is a cornerstone of our growth in China and the entire Asia Pacific region," said Lensey Chen, President of Novonesis Asia Pacific Region and Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage Biosolutions thereof. Chen expressed strong confidence in Novonesis's future growth in Beijing and emphasized that success here will propel the company's development across China.
