With the rapid adoption of new energy vehicles (NEVs), Beijing has been steadily expanding its network of super charging and battery swapping stations in recent years. By the end of this year, approximately 40 new NEV battery swapping stations are expected to be built and put into operation, with the total number projected to exceed 100 next year. In central areas of the city, drivers will be able to swap batteries within just 10 minutes.

Each battery swapping station is equipped with 14 to 30 battery compartments, achieving a success rate of up to 99.99 percent. The entire process takes only 100 seconds, making it extremely fast. A single station can handle up to 822 swaps per day. In addition, the newly launched 20# and 25# standard battery packs offer different energy capacities, enabling users to choose personalized power options to meet their diverse travel needs.

Meanwhile, Beijing will also build more than 1,000 super charging stations this year. In the six central districts, the service radius of each super charging station will be within one kilometer, and the average charging time for mainstream super charging vehicle models will be reduced to about 15 minutes per charge.
