Eight smart mosquito-killing devices have been installed on the grassland east of Yongding Tower, with the number of mosquitoes eliminated displayed on the screens in real time. Nine outdoor solar-powered mosquito lamps have also been deployed, effectively covering an area of approximately 3,000 square meters. Relying on a purely physical approach to mosquito control, these devices ensure zero chemical residue. Mild and non-irritating, they help protect children's skin and respiratory health while substantially alleviating the problem of mosquito bites in the park.

In addition, over 800 square meters of mosquito-repellent plants, including balloon flower (Platycodon grandiflorus), catnip (Nepeta cataria), bergamot mint (Mentha aquatica var. citrata), and yizhihuanghua (Solidago decurrens), have been planted across this park, with soil improvement measures, such as sterilization, also being implemented on over 200 square meters of soil. At the same time, the local Administration Center of Parks has stepped up source control to reduce mosquito breeding grounds by routinely cleaning out rainwater wells, drainage ditches, and marshland landscapes, regularly pruning greenery and thinning out understory vegetation.

Looking ahead, the Administration Center of Parks will consider extending the relevant measures to parks across the entire district based on the effectiveness of the "mosquito-free park" pilot project, striving to create comfortable and healthy park environments for visitors.
