Overview: Located along the Grand Canal in Tongzhou District, this scenic greenway stretches approximately 14 kilometers. Built around historic canal transport culture and waterfront leisure, it links a series of picturesque spots, including traditional wharfs, reed wetlands, and riverside viewpoints. It's perfect for cycling, strolling, and even boat tours.
Transportation Guide:
Public Transportation: Take the Tongzhou Sightseeing Bus Route 1 (Route 317) and get off at Xiaoshengmiaoqiaodong (Beijing Art Center) Stop (小圣庙桥东(北京艺术中心)站); or take Bus Routes 822, 910, T13, or T17 and get off at Grand Canal Forest Park South Gate Station (大运河森林公园南门站).
Driving: Navigate to Tongzhou Grand Canal Forest Park-North/South Ground Parking Lot (通州大运河森林公园-北侧地上停车场/南侧地上停车场) or Canal Transport Wharf-Ground Parking Lot (漕运码头-地上停车场).
Travel Tips:
The greenway is divided into east and west sections, which are not connected. It is recommended to explore the east section first, then proceed to the west section.
