Overview: Located in the valley of Xishan, Shijingshan District, this trail is a branch of the Jingxi Ancient Trail. Starting from the Guandi Temple Station and ending at Nanmachang Reservoir, it spans approximately 3 kilometers. Winding along the valley stream, it connects attractions such as Shuangquan Temple, Wanshan Bridge, and Nanmachang Reservoir. It is suitable for family outings, camping, and hiking.
Transportation Guide:
Public Transportation: Take Bus Route 597 to the Heishitoucun (黑石头村) stop, then walk 5 minutes to the trail entrance.
Driving: Navigate to the Xishan Greenway (Shijingshan Section) Parking Lot (西山绿道(石景山段)停车场). A loop route is recommended for an easier return to your car.
Travel Tips:
Mosquitoes and other insects are common along the route during summer—be sure to bring insect repellent. In winter, the boardwalk may be icy; wear slip-resistant shoes and avoid the first sunny days after snowfall.
Restrooms are available at the greenway entrance at Heishitou Village (黑石头村), Shuangquan Temple (双泉寺), and the Yipianshi Service Area (一片石服务区). Plan ahead before starting your walk.
Opening Hours: Open year-round, 24 hours a day.
