Overview: Located in Shougang Park, Shijingshan District, this greenway is a standout example of industrial heritage revitalization. Spanning a total of 10.7 kilometers, it consists of three distinct sections: a 2-kilometer elevated walkway, a 3.2-kilometer lakeside greenway, and a 5.5-kilometer hiking trail to Gongbei Pavilion. It connects landmarks such as the No. 3 Blast Furnace, Big Air Shougang, and Qunming Lake, blending industrial heritage with Winter Olympics culture. Perfect for photography, trendy spot exploration, and leisure.
Transportation Guide:
Public Transportation: Take Line 11 to Xinshougang Station (新首钢站) and exit via Exit C, then walk 800 meters to the south gate of Shougang Park. Exit from Exit K of Jin'anqiao Station (金安桥站) on Line 6, then walk 10 minutes to the north gate of Shougang Park.
Driving: Navigate to Shougang Park P3 Parking Lot (首钢园P3停车场) or Xiuchi West Street Parking Lot (秀池西街停车场).
Travel Tips:
Access to the top of the No. 3 Blast Furnace requires a ticket. Entry to the Hanging Café requires purchasing a package (including platform admission and coffee). Children under 1.2 meters tall are not allowed to enter.
The blast furnaces light up after 19:00, offering a striking industrial nightscape.
Opening Hours: Open year-round.
Lakeside Greenway: Open 24 hours a day; Elevated Walkway: Open from 7:00 to 19:00
Gongbei Pavilion Hiking Trail: Open from 9:30 to 17:00, Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays, except holidays).
