Overview: Stretching along the Bahe River in Chaoyang, this approximately 2.3-kilometer greenway connects INDIGO Mall, Langyuan Station, Jiangfu Park and other hotspots. It blends an 800-year history of water transport with modern riverside leisure and trendy attractions. The route features eye-catching orange bridges, dreamy Chinese violet cress fields reminiscent of Claude Monet's Gardens, and industrial-style creative parks. It is perfect for cycling, leisurely walks, and artistic photography.
Transportation Guide:
Subway: Take Line 14 to Jiangtai Station (将台站) (Exit A), then walk 10 minutes to Jiangtai Riverside Park. Or take Line 14 to Wangjingnan Station (望京南站) (Exit B), then bike 5 minutes to Langyuan Station.
Driving: Navigate to INDIGO Parking Lot (颐堤港停车场) (12 yuan/hour) or Langyuan Station Parking Lot (朗园Station停车场). There are plenty of parking spaces on site.
Travel Tips:
Water Activities: Paddleboarding and kayaking require advance reservations at "INDIGO Harbor Pier" (颐堤港湾码头) and must be accompanied by a professional instructor. Beginners shall not enter the water alone.
Best Seasons for Flower Viewing:
Spring: Chinese violet cress flowers are in full bloom from March to April.
Autumn: Ginkgo leaves turn golden in October and November.
Reminder: The Xuanri Bridge lights up after 18:40 daily. Some sections of the boardwalk are dimly lit—please watch your step when traveling with children or seniors.
