Recently, the overall upgrade and renovation of the West Underground P2 Parking Lot (formerly the West Underground M Level) at Beijingnan Railway Station has been completed. Through smart upgrades, the project effectively addresses the long-standing difficulty in locating parked vehicles in a large, complex car park.

Previously confusing and hard-to-remember labels such as "West Underground M Level" and "East Underground B1 Level" have been streamlined into a clear and intuitive numbering system, with each parking lot labeled as P1, P2, P3, and P4. Meanwhile, the railway station has adopted a creative new way to organize its parking spaces by pairing letters with fun animal themes. Instead of the usual A, B, C, and D zones, each area is now associated with a lively animal icon—such as a playful pink cat for Zone C and a friendly blue dolphin for Zone D. This not only makes navigation easier but also adds an element of fun.

In passenger waiting areas, several high-definition LED smart guidance screens display vehicle locations in real time. Travelers can scan a WeChat QR code to track vehicle movements at any time. Combined with clear audio announcements, this system ensures seamless integration of information between drivers and passengers.
Additionally, smart interactive terminals installed at the ride-hailing pickup area allow passengers to scan a QR code to view the precise location and estimated arrival time of their assigned vehicle in real time. This ensures transparent and synchronized information for both drivers and passengers.

The smart upgrade of Beijingnan Railway Station's parking facilities will continue. Following the opening of P2, a comprehensive upgrade of the P1 Parking Lot (formerly the West Underground B1 Level) has already been launched and is expected to be put into service ahead of the Spring Festival travel rush in early 2026.
