The iconic Bus Line 1, which runs along Chang'an Avenue, is about to be extended westward!

The new adjustments to the bus route, which are made by Beijing Public Transport Corporation, will come into effect on September 5, 2026. Following the extension, Shougang Park Bus Terminal will serve as the terminal of the route to better align public transport services with regional development.

The bus will depart from Shougang Park Bus Terminal, heading east via Shijingshan Road to Babaoshan Subway Station, then following the original route of Line 1 to Sihui Public Transport Hub.

New Stops

Shougang Park Bus Terminal, Xinshougangdaqiao (新首钢大桥; for buses heading to Shougang Park Bus Terminal), Xinshougang (新首钢), Laogucheng (老古城), Shijingshangucheng (石景山古城), Jingyanfandian (京燕饭店; Jingyan Hotel), Jingyuanlukoudong (京原路口东), and Laoshan (老山).

Operating Hours

Shougang Park Bus Terminal: 5:00–22:40

Sihui Public Transport Hub: 5:00–23:00

The original Line 1 (Laoshan Bus Terminal –Sihui Public Transport Hub) will be used for short-turn operation of Bus Line 1, with its departures staggered from those of the full-route service.

Laoshan Bus Terminal: 5:00–22:40

Sihui Public Transport Hub: 5:20–22:40

On the same day, Shougangshiyanchang (首钢试验厂) Stop served by Bus Line 992, Dedicated Bus Line 108, and Dedicated Bus Line 218 will be renamed "Xinshougang" (新首钢).
