Recently, the Beijing Capital International Airport and the Beijing Daxing International Airport have completed the plans to comprehensively upgrade the timetables and routes of their shuttle buses. These improvements are designed to better cater to passengers' diverse travel demands, including commuting, medical visits, participation in exhibitions and conferences, sightseeing, and late-night transfers. Scheduled to take effect on July 31, 2026, these adjustments will ensure more efficient, convenient, and accessible options of land-air combined transportation.
Fully Optimized Service Schedules
The two airports will expand capacities and extend operating hours of several key bus routes to better meet the travel needs of passengers taking flights early in the morning or arriving late at night.
Two routes will operate around the clock. The number of daily departures of the Beijing West Railway Station Line from the Capital Airport will be raised to 90, while that of the Beijing Railway Station Line from the Daxing Airport will increase to 102 (including 24 trips on the Night Route to the Agricultural Exhibition Center). These 24/7 services will ensure continuous coverage and timely departures.
Two routes will see their late-night service hours extended. The last departure time of the Beijing South Railway Station Line and the Beijing Fengtai Railway Station Line (both operating from the Capital Airport to downtown) will be extended to 2:00. This change will benefit passengers connecting to late-night flights or trains.
Optimized Routes: New Stops and Adjusted Driving Paths
Routes have been adjusted with the addition of new stops and adjustments to driving paths. These changes will establish direct connections between airports and key destinations, such as hospitals, commercial districts, venues, Universal Beijing Resort, and major subway interchange stations.
(1) Optimized Capital Airport Bus Routes
Three new drop-off stops will be opened on the downtown-bound Beijing West Railway Station Line: Dongsishitiaoqiao South (东四十条桥南), Yabao Road (雅宝路) and Chongwenmen West (崇文门西).
The new stops will improve access to destinations such as the Workers' Stadium, the Capital Institute of Pediatrics, the Beijing Tongren Hospital, the Beijing Hospital, and the Beijing Xinqiao Hotel. This improvement is expected to better serve passengers traveling for medical visits, cultural events, and sports activities, while reducing the need for additional transfers.
On the Qinghe Railway Station Line from the Capital Airport, stops will be added near the Beijing Olympic Park in both directions. The Yayuncun (亚运村) stop is planned for the route from downtown to the airport to cover the Beijing Olympic Park area. Two stops—Beichen East Road (Bird's Nest) (北辰东路(鸟巢)) and Beichenxiqiao North (Water Cube) (北辰西桥北(水立方))—are scheduled to open on the airport-bound direction, facilitating passengers heading for the China National Convention Center, the Bird's Nest, the Water Cube and other cultural and sports venues.
(2) Optimized Daxing Airport Bus Routes
Three more stops will become operational for the Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station Line from the Daxing Airport in both directions, namely Songjiazhuang Subway Station (地铁宋家庄站), Jiangxi Building (江西大厦) and Fangzhuangqiao East (方庄桥东). The first stop of the route from the airport to downtown will be Songjiazhuang Subway Station, allowing passengers from eastern Beijing to transfer rapidly to rail transit.
The direct shuttle service between the two airports will also be upgraded, with a new stop at Universal Beijing Resort, enhancing convenience for tourists and transit passengers. The shuttle service will use the 6th Ring Road instead of the 3rd Ring Road, with only one intermediate stop at Universal Beijing Resort. The optimized service will provide faster connections between the two airports.
